ABOUT

Serving the community by helping save lives

We are a community-based business, making a difference with support of our customers.

Our founder Tom Malcolm launched the company in 1996 after discovering that first-aid was not taught in any of North-East Scotland’s primary schools.

Tom saw this as a serious issue for a largely rural region with low population centres and many people some distance from an ambulance and other emergency response services.

The need for his services grew to the point that he needed to bring in additional first aid trainers, and in 2009 Tom began working full-time in the business.

We now work with around 90 primary schools and serve the whole region -from Arbroath and Fettercairn in the south, to Rosehearty and Sandhaven in the north-east, west from Aberdeen to Braemar, and north to Elgin. Our trainers visit each school for between two and six days per year, depending on its size.

To make this possible, we need the support of corporate customers to buy our professional first aid courses, which helps fund schools in their local area. There is no central or local government budget for classroom first-aid training.

Our long-term mission is to see that every Primary 5,6, & 7 child in the North-east receives first-aid training before going to secondary school.
